Description
Travel to Casalguidi and visit a farm in the beautiful Tuscan countryside where age old traditions remain strong and biodynamic and organic agriculture continue to respect the high standards of the local farmers. Spend the morning immersed in farm life where the love for animals, the land and its people is shared and heartfelt. During your tour you’ll have plenty of time to meet the animals and try your hand at milking Bruna!
Afterwards you’ll attend the cooking class in the farmhouse where you can choose between preparing pizza, bread or traditional dishes. This delicious journey will be an unforgettable holiday experience. Tuscan cuisine is based on season, intense simple flavours and, in keeping with this tradition, the farm’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil will enhance many of the dishes and accompany a variety of bruschetta and la fettunta (toasted Tuscan bread) which you can taste during the meal preparation. A ‘km 0’ lunch will be served after the lesson. Enjoy Tuscan classics like local cold cuts, crostini, homemade pasta with a meat or vegetarian sauce, roast sausages and pork, cheese and seasonal vegetables fresh from the garden. Red wine and water will be served and a light dessert of Cantucci di Prato (almond biscuits) and a glass (or two) of Vin Santo will follow the meal.
After lunch we’ll drive to Pisa where there will be time to visit the famous Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and the Cathedral before returning to Florence.
