The main towns in this area – Radda, Castellina, Panzano, Castelnuovo Berardenga and Greve – all make up the Chianti Classico wine region. The bottles produced in this area are symbolized by the well known Gallo Nero (Black Rooster) which circles the neck of this distinguished blend of Sangiovese grapes. These villages maintain their medieval atmosphere and an enduring tradition of time-honoured oenology which continues to prosper today.
