Description
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Val D’Orcia and its amazingly scenic and discover the magnificent towns of Montepulciano and Pienza, where you will find beer, wine and pecorino cheese tastings very difficult to resist!
The first stop will be in the medieval town of Montepulciano, which is well known for its beautiful views over the valleys and vineyards. You’ll love the historic atmosphere and the picturesque churches and squares. At 12:00, we’ll stop for a beer tasting in an artisan brewery where 6 types of beer, plus some special seasonal beers, all of which are strictly unpasteurized, unfiltered and re-fermented, both in the keg and in the bottle are produced.
This stop will be followed by a traditional Tuscan lunch and, in the afternoon, we’ll continue on to quaint town of Pienza which is a superb example of Renaissance architecture and famous for its highly flavourful and aromatic varieties of pecorino cheese where you’ll have time to explore the town and find a nice bar where you can sit back and relax over a Tuscan style happy hour with a glass of one of the best wines in the world, an ice cold Italian beer or a cocktail with some tasty Tuscan appetizers.
