The Maritime Republic of Venice is one of the most famous UNESCO Heritage Sites in the world and the architecture, lagoon, islands and Grand Canal are just a few of the reasons Venice is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Picturesque locations perhaps lesser known but also rich in history and culture include Belluno, Treviso, Rovigo, Possagno, the Medieval village of Asolo and the walled towns of Cittadella, Monselice, Montagnana and Castelfranco Veneto. Lake Garda, is located between the Alps and northern Italy’s Pianura Padana and is an ideal destination. Grapevines, palms oleander and olive trees compliment the quaint towns and villages, ports and beaches, parks and nature reserves that this gorgeous lake is known for.
